Friday morning is Camden's 2 week ECHO follow up to determine if the small residual blood clot in his heart is gone, stable, or if it has changed at all in size. We are on the every 2 week schedule and then we will transition to once a month. I am sure everyone knows what to pray for: that the small piece is gone!!! NO MORE SHOTS for Camden!! (or Mom)! Please pray with us! Camden otherwise is doing well. His legs still bother him. He loves school and he is doing very well (especially considering he missed kindergarten)!
(Rant) My FRIEND, John (PhD, CEO) is absolutely correct when he says that a donation to support cancer will help a loved one! What John DID NOT include in his lovely letter to me was that his organization (American Cancer Society) will give <4% to pediatric cancer. (1 penny out of every dollar). My loved one was 4 years old when he was diagnosed with cancer JOHN R. SEFFRIN! So, please tell me John, what are YOU going to do to help Camden? And stop wasting our donation money by mailing me things....put my money to research. (End Rant). For those of you who may not know this, you can specify where you want your donation to go to when donating to ACS. (Pediatric Cancer, Neuroblastoma, breast cancer, brain tumors). Knowledge is power and power is money.....share if you care!!! We had so much fun yesterday at the UCONN Men's Ice Hockey Game. Camden was pumped and beyond proud of his teammates for the WIN!!!
Today, we were honored to join Red Balloon Children Center in Stafford Springs, while they performed the Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenge. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Kim Bacon and Linda Wylot for taking this moment to support Camden and our efforts to fund/find a cure for childhood cancer. Kim collected nearly 40 permission slips from the parents of the children who attend Red Balloon. We extend our gratitude to these families who generously donated over $500.00 for pediatric cancer research. How many likes can we get for this adorable group of kiddos! Thank you for a fun and exciting afternoon! |
