A prayer request

7/29/2014

So tonight I send out a prayer request. Camden's lab results from today's clinic appointment all looked good, except for the DDimer (which tells us what his blood clot is doing and his risk for a pulmonary embolism). At diagnosis of the blood clot he was a 407. Since then he has dropped to 202 (which falls within the normal range). While tracking these numbers, we were told it would be alarming if the number exceeded 1,500. Today's lab result was 3,000. We are praying that this is a lab error. He is asymptomatic of any alarming problems. We will redo his labs on Thursday. If the results remain elevated then we will do a repeat Echo. This will allow us to make appropriate treatment decisions. I feel like we have to kick it up a notch with our prayers for Cam. Lets not forget the beast we are fighting against. In conclusion of reading this, I ask that you say a prayer for Camden: for the results to be an error, that Camden's body has completely reabsorbed the blood clot and that Camden will remain in remission for a cancer free lifetime of health and happiness. Please give us an Amen in the comments. Thank you....

    Mommy & Me

    Mommy

She's going to keep everyone up to date about my progress.  Isn't she the best mommy ever?

Mommy thought long and hard about my new website.  She thought about protecting me and not putting my hospital pictures online.  But my mommy wants everyone to know that Neuroblastoma isn't just another illness, that it's scary and very serious.  My mommy wants to make sure that other kids don't go through this and that their parents know what to look for.  My cancer is very mean, and I'm scared, but I have my mommy - and daddy - to rub my belly and hold me tight.  I love them so much!
