Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Update from yesterday: Peace of mind is a great thing. The ECHO today revealed that the spot where the blood clot was in Camden's heart continues to resolve. The cardiologist said that if he was not familiar with Camden's medical history, he would not have even picked up on the subtle difference. We have no results on any of today's blood work. Oncology looked at and felt the bump on Camden's back and he is currently not concerned. HOWEVER: Please PRAY for Camden's hearing. It looks as though there is a possibility that the improvements in his hearing, although great, may not be enough to ensure that he does not come off of this current trial. We were informed tonight that if Camden's next hearing test in September does not improve even more: he will have to stop his maintenance medication due to a grade 3 toxicity. I haven't figured out how this has been calculated as a grade 3, but believe me: I will. In the meantime, I ask that you PLEASE pray for Camden's hearing and please make sure to share the request with your prayer warriors. Do you remember how our prayers worked for his vision loss?…RESTORED TO PERFECT VISION. I am going to be posting frequent posts for everyone to pray for Camden's ears and restoration of his hearing. I will keep you posted when I hear about his lab results. Thank you...
Yesterday Ron and I had our first of three appointments with Camden's Neuropsychologist. She was so kind and supportive. Camden will have 2 follow up appointments where she will get to work with him to obtain a baseline of his cognitive ability. Ron and I see NO apparent deficits at this time but we feel that it is important to know his strengths and weaknesses and to be able to FULLY support him in any and every possible way. The doctor informed us that more than likely, we will not see much right now, but as he ages and LIFE becomes more COMPLICATED, this is when many children who have gone through treatment will start showing more difficulties *whether it is a processing, retaining, organizing, or multifactorial problem. We are on top of this and we will support Camden so that he will lead a healthy and successful life.
AND: TODAY is Cam's clinic appointment for blood and urine. We also hope to receive confirmation that the small bump on his back continues to be non problematic. Please pray with us. Thank you. Copy and paste the link below into your browser to watch how we spent our day yesterday morning. You will see Camden and Aliana drawing a picture together in the beginning. You will see one of our many chalk designs....words in pink/white LOVE, HOPE, BELIEVE, INSPIRE....with 3 hearts that include the initials E (Emma), J (Jessica), and C (Camden). You will see Camden and Emma at a glance (Camden in a white shirt and Emma in a pink shirt/purple skirt). This day was really special to us. It was Aliana's 11th birthday. Aliana's parents are good friends of mine. I met her dad when I worked at Hartford Hospital....I was pregnant with Camden. It has been amazing to watch how brave Aliana is with her treatments and to observe the beautiful young lady that she has grown into. Remember her name, she is going to make a difference in this world.
http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/video/#!/on-air/as-seen-on/Chalk-the-Walks/322212751 So based on the results of the lab work that Camden had done for his naturopath doctor, everything so far looks great (or close to). She said that she was surprised to see the results and informed us that his numbers do not reflect a child that has been through what he has, and in fact it is better than most adults. ANOTHER MIRACLE!! His T-Cell numbers are great, his body is right on the spot for DETOXING, his B-Vitamins are all in normal range, and we checked his candida levels due to being immunocompromised and again, he is amazing and the numbers look great. Surprisingly, his Vitamin D dropped again after cutting his dose in half, so we will increase that again. We are waiting on the results of his Natural Killer Cells and we are doing more thorough testing in different areas. I was anxious to get these results, but grateful to see that the modifications/sacrifices that we have put in place over the past 14 months have helped in the mission of providing Camden with a strong body. We did notice a small "bump" on his back that at first appeared to be a bug bite. However it is not going away as fast as I would like. The doctor looked at it today and does not feel that it is anything alarming. We will keep a very close eye on it. I know in my heart it is nothing, but still….we wish it wasn't there at all. Please pray that it will just be GONE and that it is NOTHING. Thank you. We just love this boy and we are so proud of him.
Prayer Warriors: This morning I come to you with a prayer request. You have lifted Camden through so many difficult times and we trusted that Camden would be healed. We pray with all that we are that we can keep our miracle and Camden can continue to help others through their journey. Over the last few weeks we have met another local Neuroblastoma Warrior. We have been following his journey and praying for his miracle. They are currently finishing up round 4 of chemo and have upcoming scans mid August. The family is amazing and although Neuroblastoma comes in many shapes and forms: Camden and this little boy's presentation are very similar. He will turn 5 in September. I see it in his eyes, he is a survivor: just like Cam. Now: I also ask for additional prayers for another family that comes from my hometown of Stafford. Their little boy was JUST diagnosed with Leukemia. Chace is 3 years old. He is also at CCMC and just had his chemo port placed. His journey has just begun and it is all still so new and confusing to the family. GOD, how I remember that feeling. I ask you to envelope Camden, X, and Chase in your prayers and hearts. I ask for God's guidance to help Camden inspire them and give them hope. We promised God that Camden would help others. This is our opportunity to give back. When these families are ready, we will be initiating fundraisers and asking for help. In the meantime, your prayers are more important. Thank you….Thank you! Much love~
