Tomorrow is the last day of September, the month of pediatric cancer awareness. I want to thank all of you who participated in the Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenge. Thank you for your donations and support. We did not come close to our goal, but every dollar counts. Our children are our future and on behalf of Camden and all of the other warriors battling this horrible, heartbreaking disease, we thank you with all that we are for assisting us in giving them a fighting chance for a brighter future.

Happiness

9/27/2014

I truly believe that all of our friends, family members, and Crusaders would all agree that Ron and I would do anything in our power to give Camden happiness. I want all of you to recognize a blessing that has brought Camden countless smiles and an abundance of happiness. We are honored and proud to reintroduce the UConn Men's Ice Hockey team and our lovely Samantha to you. Many of you met a handful of these men and Sam at Camden's summer party. They are balancing school, a college level sport, friends, and families of their own; yet they also always find time for Camden. Whether it be meeting up with them at UConn, going fishing, stopping by the house, or just sending Camden a message. Happiness and love are the best medications for Camden right now and I am so grateful that we ALL endlessly surround him with that. Please watch the video below of Camden and his teammates taking on the Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenge! I hope that WE CRUSADERS can show our support and appreciation back to these men by attending their hockey games. The first exhibition game is Sunday, October 5th, 2:00 at Freitas Ice Forum located on UConn campus. This game is free admission. We hope to see you there! For the 2014-2015 schedule, please visit:

As we patiently wait for our results, i figured it was the just right time to wish Camden a Happy Transplant Birthday.  A year ago today, Camden was given his second Birthday...a new start to what we pray is a brighter future.  Happy Birthday Camden, we love you more than words could ever describe.

Today, our day got shuffled and although things did not go as planned, we made it through. This morning I received a phone call from the Hartford Hospital pharmacy that the MIBG isotope did not make it in from Canada. So this injection will be tomorrow, moving his scan to Wednesday. We changed our clinic appointment to today instead of tomorrow and we had his ECHO today instead of Wednesday. So blood work is done and pending. Urine analysis was sent and pending. His CT scan of head, chest, abdomen and pelvis was completed. We are waiting on the CT results.   The ECHO revealed that the large "gumball" size blood clot in his heart is GONE!!! Cardiology wants to follow up again in 3 months. We are waiting to hear from his oncologist about whether or not to proceed with or discontinue the Lovenox injections. The schedule is: Tomorrow: only the MIBG injection and pick up his pills for the next 3 months.

Wednesday: 8 am MIBG SCAN!

Please continue to pray for NED (No Evidence of Disease)

Prayers please

9/19/2014

As we all head into the weekend, I ask that you please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Ask your friends and family to say some extra prayers for Camden. Monday he will drink his contrast drink and wait 2 hours before going in for a CT Scan. From there we will go to Hartford Hospital for his MIBG isotope injection.    Tuesday morning he will have his body scan at 8:00, which will take 1 1/2 hrs at Hartford Hospital. Then we go to CCMC to meet with the oncology team, blood work and urine tests. Wednesday Camden will have his Echocardiogram to prayerfully prove the blood clot in his heart is gone. After 2 shots a day for the last 3 months...we both would be very happy to not have to do shots anymore. We are fighting the scanxiety and trusting in our faith that we will have only good news to share from these tests....praying for continued remission against this evil cancer. Thank you!!!!

    Mommy & Me

    Mommy

She's going to keep everyone up to date about my progress.  Isn't she the best mommy ever?

Mommy thought long and hard about my new website.  She thought about protecting me and not putting my hospital pictures online.  But my mommy wants everyone to know that Neuroblastoma isn't just another illness, that it's scary and very serious.  My mommy wants to make sure that other kids don't go through this and that their parents know what to look for.  My cancer is very mean, and I'm scared, but I have my mommy - and daddy - to rub my belly and hold me tight.  I love them so much!
