54 hours later I am extremely happy to say that Camden is finally OFF oxygen. (for the past 30 minutes)....It took all day to wean him, right down to a 1/2 liter. He still needs that transfusion, but all doctors are in agreement that it is best to wait until Monday/Tuesday. This gives us 2 days to pray diligently that his red blood count will come up on its own and we could please dodge this bump in the road. In the world of oncology, transfusions are as common as brushing your teeth, so we know it will happen, but I am so scared that this reaction will happen again! There are no odds with Camden, we know he breaks all the rules. AND I am DONE with life threatening diagnoses. So I am not jumping to get out of here tonight, I want to make sure he remains stable overnight and hit the road in the morning. We are all exhausted; physically, mentally, and emotionally! Thank you everyone for your endless support....much love!!
