Scan Schedule

12/8/2015

0 Comments

Confirmation phone call. Camden's next scan schedule starts on January 11. He starts fasting at 11 am and then goes to radiology for 12 to pick up his contrast to drink. Clinic for an IV, blood work, urine workup, and examination from his oncologist. 2:00 CT Scan head/chest/pelvis. 3:00 we register at Hartford Hospital and at 3:30 he gets his MIBG isotope injection. January 12 (my dad's birthday) at 8 am, Camden will undergo his MIBG body scan which lasts 90 minutes. (same routine, same schedule, same times, same, same, same). From now until then...i will be in a different world. For those of you who know what scanxiety feels like...it has begun...i feel it in every cell of my body. Please pray for Camden. Earlier today, I read the following passages from a beautiful lady who is a 5 year breast cancer survivor. She had this on her blog.

Verses For The Darkness & Struggle

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness turn to light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

{Micah 7:8, Isaiah 43:2-3, Psalms 23:4, Psalms 56:3-4, Psalms 27:1}

Thank you for your devotion to Camden. Much love, always.

    Mommy & Me

    Mommy

    She's going to keep everyone up to date about my progress.  Isn't she the best mommy ever?

    Mommy thought long and hard about my new website.  She thought about protecting me and not putting my hospital pictures online.  But my mommy wants everyone to know that Neuroblastoma isn't just another illness, that it's scary and very serious.  My mommy wants to make sure that other kids don't go through this and that their parents know what to look for.  My cancer is very mean, and I'm scared, but I have my mommy - and daddy - to rub my belly and hold me tight.  I love them so much!
