We ask for extra prayers today, as Camden will be going back to the operating room for a double lumen cathetor that will be placed in his neck. His chemo port will stay, but this other site will be only for his stem cell collection. He is a trooper, but as you can imagine..he is scared and his little body is taking on so much! Pray for us!! xo
Camden is now finishing his post hydration for day 5 of chemo and he is receiving a blood transfusion. We will be home tomorrow morning! He is anxious to go home, but again his WBC will be low, so visitation to the house will be restricted until he recovers more. Camden met a new friend here and it was awesome to see them play and interact! His friend went home today and we are thinking of him, hoping he is doing well ; ). The spaghetti dinner was a huge success this past week, thank you Sue and John, Pat S, Michele, Shannon and every single person who helped/attended!! We had a very successful massage therapy event in Camden's honor on Friday in NYC; thank you Donna!!! Today we had an amazing 5K/Munchkin Mile; thank you Dan and friends! Again, there are no words to express how much appreciation we have for all of you who have been assisting in these fundraisers!! Camden is so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people and to have so many people praying for us. We have a lot of appointments next week, preparing for yet another busy week!!
Camden is doing FANTASTIC!!! I simply cannot keep up with him; running the halls, hiding on his nurse, water fights with medicine syringes with his doctor and clinic nurses! His smile lights a room! Thank you God!!! Thank you Crusaders for your prayers and support!! xoxo
Camden's Crusade Guardian Angel pins now available. Some will be sold at tomorrow nights spaghetti dinner, while others are available at Paradiso Insurance, Main Street, Stafford!! Get yours before they are gone!!! $12.00 each!
Camden is doing amazing at home; running, playing, and jumping!! Despite he still limps some and displays weakness in his left leg...he is back to himself (minus some hair). Yesterday he was riding his bike in the driveway, which was awesome to see! Round 2 of chemo starts Tuesday after a clinic appointment to check on lab values! Keep praying, still have a long road ahead of us!!!
We had our first clinic appointment today, which went well! I could not praise the CCMC staff enough. All labs across the board are on a rise, the number we all have been praying for went from 1,368 to 17,608....Praise God!!! Mommy does not have to give nightly shots this week!!! Camden has adjusted well to being home! We are soo thankful for all of your love and support!! xoxo
Labs went from 0 to 1368 over night! We are packing and going home! Thank you CCMC team for your outstanding care....you are our true CRUSADERS!!!
