Thank you for your support and generosity. We are so grateful for your donations to our local children at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. We certainly appreciate your contribution to our 2015 collection. I have chosen to withhold the final count because we have more books coming tomorrow. The incoming donations will not be included in our photo, but they certainly will be in the final count. Thank you for helping Camden give back.

All labs are perfect....urine ✔️ and blood ✔️! Deep breath 💪 Now we can think about Christmas and all that we are thankful for! A little blood, a little urine, height, weight, a sticker, a coloring book...another morning at CCMC. Feels like we were just here. Back to the waiting game. 4 children have relapsed off of DFMO, to date it is still running at a 90% success rate. Oncologist says the most accurate data will come from those who survive 2 years off of DFMO. Looks like our clock just reset. Confirmation phone call. Camden's next scan schedule starts on January 11. He starts fasting at 11 am and then goes to radiology for 12 to pick up his contrast to drink. Clinic for an IV, blood work, urine workup, and examination from his oncologist. 2:00 CT Scan head/chest/pelvis. 3:00 we register at Hartford Hospital and at 3:30 he gets his MIBG isotope injection. January 12 (my dad's birthday) at 8 am, Camden will undergo his MIBG body scan which lasts 90 minutes. (same routine, same schedule, same times, same, same, same). From now until then...i will be in a different world. For those of you who know what scanxiety feels like...it has begun...i feel it in every cell of my body. Please pray for Camden. Earlier today, I read the following passages from a beautiful lady who is a 5 year breast cancer survivor. She had this on her blog.
Verses For The Darkness & Struggle When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness turn to light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? {Micah 7:8, Isaiah 43:2-3, Psalms 23:4, Psalms 56:3-4, Psalms 27:1} Thank you for your devotion to Camden. Much love, always. |
