Today was a fun day. I was able to get some work done this morning. Camden left school early due to two children in his class being sick, one with a fever and the other with strep throat. We are all home and safe. Waiting for the UCONN men's hockey game to be on TV tonight, NBCSN at 7:35. The team is in Indiana at Notre Dame. Cam taught one of the players a victory dance for him to do after he scores. Now he HAS to score tonight. (haha). Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
We just got home from a very full day. Camden's appointment went very well. He grew taller and put on a little weight. His vitals were perfect. Our conversations with his oncologist were all positive. I made sure Camden was well hydrated which helped his blood draw. 1 needle stick and lots of blood for many tubes. No tears today! The blood work came back good. (Much, much better than last months's when we was fighting that congestion/cold). His repeat hearing test will be in February. We have to wait a week for the urine test, which is the most important test. Thank you all for your kind messages today, your thoughts and prayers. We always appreciate it!!! Tomorrow is Camden's monthly clinic appointment. Month #7 post frontline treatment. I am praying because any appointment always brings you back to the "what if's" and the "oh no's." Camden is doing really well. He is not complaining of leg pain (really at all) and he is doing AWESOME with taking his new vitamin (2x/day). And last week I started putting DigestZen on his stomach daily. I am so happy that the oil has helped tremendously. Cancer treatment/Chemotherapy seems to cause constipation for a lot of these kids....for the first time in FOREVER, Camden is doing/feeling SOOO much better. Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow as we approach the blood work, urine tests, and all the stuff that comes with a clinic appointment. We had a great day together, nestled in our cozy home...we hope all of you did too. AND: sending out birthday wishes to my DAD!
Camden's first two days back to school have gone well. He is such an awesome little boy. Everything is going well. We have started him and Emma on the doTERRA A2Z vitamins, which Emma loves. Camden is always so skeptical of everything we give him (food/drinks/snacks, etc). He has been scarred by the endless times medications have been concealed in his stuff.
oh man...tell us it ISN'T true....someone tell us that tomorrow morning is NOT monday! aughhhh....vacation is over. Back to getting up early, making school lunches, driving all over Tolland for drop offs and pick ups. I am going to miss these kids like crazy...feeling sad tonight. BUT...we did have an amazing week. I haven't been so good at downloading pictures, but we have some good ones. Good times, good memories, lots and lots of love....I just can't imagine life any other way!
