Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration moved to 1:00! Scan still at 10:00! We got this!!!
(10:00pm) My final prayer request before tomorrow!! MONDAY 12:30 we go to radiology to pick up contrast. 2:30 is Camden's CT Scan. 3:30 we register at Hartford Hospital. 4:00 is his MIBG injection. TUESDAY 10:00 MIBG scan 2:00 Bone Marrow aspiration and biopsy. Please envelope us in prayer. I pray my updates will be GREAT news! Stay tuned! My heart broke in two this morning as I urgently lifted Camden up from off of the floor while he was screaming in pain. His pain was right at his belly button, flash backs came instantly...belly rubbing for 24 hrs a day for nearly 4 weeks. Our hearts have been in crisis mode as we try hard to not compare these belly pains to the ones he had around the time of diagnosis. Our prayers for ANYTHING other than cancer appear to have answered, as it is now apparent that Camden has a stomach bug. Of course concerns linger in the back of our minds. Monday and Tuesday are so close but yet so far away. Please surround Camden with love and lift him in prayer. Now, to keep him from getting dehydrated. We got this!!!! Happy Friday night! Our day started with Camden going to the dentist. His appointment went well and his teeth look good. We have two wiggly front bottom teeth. ; ) I was getting worried because chemo effects this. (And there are many cute little faces in his class that have lots of missing teeth)! So we are good! We made it to the end of week 2 in school. Next Mon/Tues he will be out of school for his scans and biopsies. We finished off our Friday with going to the movies with his cousins and Ron's parents. We saw How to Train Your Dragon 2. After a quick bite to eat...we are finally home! Hope everyone has an amazing weekend. EXTRA EXTRA prayers for Monday and Tuesday PLEASE and THANK YOU!!! We had an amazing day yesterday! Camden has been going to school without me being a teachers helper. He is doing really well! We are so happy and so proud of him! Last night his kindergarten class paired up with a book buddy from a 2nd grade class and together they were in a play! Camden was an oak tree! It was precious! My night ended around 10 pm after getting home from being surrounded by an incredible group of people at a Life in the Spirit Seminar! God is good...All the Time! Continuously thanking him for getting us to today and for the joy in our hearts to see Camden healthy and with his classmates....right where he belongs!
MIBG Isotope strike has ended!! Thank God! These children in MIGB treatment can resume their battle and Camden's MIBG injection on Monday for his scan on Tuesday should NOT be delayed! Thank God!!!! Camden had a great 1st week of school! A special thank you to my Aunt Donna and my mom for watching Emma for me so I could be with Camden (a big transition for both of us)! Now: my prayer request..... There is a strike going on with the companies who provide the MIBG isotope. This is what is used for the MIBG body scans and also MIBG chemotherapy. Due to this strike, the children who need their body scans...cannot get the scan and/or those who are actively battling this nasty and aggressive cancer are not allowed to have their treatments. This makes me completely sick to my stomach. I do not know the reason for the strike (which may make a difference in my opinion), but I do know how difficult it is to have a child with cancer. I hope there is a resolution soon! Camden is scheduled for his isotope injection on Monday, June 16th (and a CT Scan) and his body scan on Tuesday, June 17th. He will also endure another bone marrow biopsy in both hips on the 17th. With that being said, please pray with us that he remains NED! God has carried us this far, please see us through to a complete remission and a lifetime of cancer free! |
