Cam did great...his oncologist took a bone marrow biopsy from the back of his right and left hip. He has some discomfort but overall is doing well. We were told Monday afternoon we will get those results.
Heading in for the last test this week and praying for more miracles! Thank you Lord for blessing us with phenomenal doctors, medications, medical technology....thank you Lord and Blessed Mother for giving us our incredible amount of faith. Please continue to bless us on this journey! Camden's body scan results have finally come back and I am very tearfully happy to say at this point his scans are CLEAR, showing NO abnormalities. Our prayers this week have been answered one by one and we are so grateful! We have to get through tomorrows bone marrow biopsy with the same positive results! Also we need continued prayers to get us through the next 6 months of treatment! We are celebrating life in the Soucy house! Thank you everyone for your prayers...as always, much love!! Religion has caused wars...i am the absolute "last" person looking for controversy. I have always believed in God..this is the way I was raised. Have any of you watched "The Passion of the Christ?" I watched this often at night in Boston and I would cry and cry and cry....offering Camden's suffering to the Lord, but COMPLETELY RELATING to Mary's agony as she watched her son in so much pain. Some religions don't pray to Blessed Mother....as some religions don't believe she can heal. I believe our Lord is the healer, but also believe in intercession of our Holy Mother. I think her son would move mountains for her......this is His Mother....this is just "my" opinion! I pray daily to Blessed Mother in addition to Jesus and I am on day 26 of a 54 day rosary novena. From a mother to a mother...she hears my prayers as well and I know she intercedes with her son, our Lord! Praying for our scan results today!! These are some of my many pictures that were taken by Flashes of Hope while we were in Boston for Camden's bone marrow transplant. Camden was not feeling well this day and he was sleeping when the photographers came to our room. I begged Camden to take some pictures and I am so glad he did! I love you Camden.....my love, my life!!! So we just got home! Camden did amazing for his body scan, laying still for 1.5 hrs..... Results we do not know yet; but we continue to pray for that healing, for our miracle that the scan is clear! The next stop was Pulmonary. Camden kicked butt with a 6 minute walk on the treadmill, with his oxygen saturation maintaining 97-100 the entire time. WOOHOO!!! We then met with the Doctor who announced to us that his CT scan of his lungs was normal...and there was nothing on the scan that was concerning and Camden will NOT have the lung biopsy on Thursday!! Thank God!! Our next stop was cardiology and he had his EKG/ECHO, which we have to wait for those results. The hardest part is waiting for todays scan results but in the meantime I pray it is great results and I pray we will know something later today! A CLEAR LUNG SCAN IS INCREDIBLE and a HUGE relief!!!!! Feeling thankful! According to Camden's RN, his doctor will go over tests results tomorrow, but his lungs looked "significantly better!!" Thank you Lord and a heartfelt thank you for your prayers....auhhh God, our week is starting off good so far!!! xoxo Day 1 of tests are complete. It was a busy day with picking up the contrast to drink for the CT scan and a few extra clinic stops, but we made it!! His audiology appointment went well, in fact there was a slight improvement in his hearing, though still showing impairments as a result of the chemotherapy he received. No hearing aids required!! And a BLESSING for improvement as the hearing loss could be progressive. The CT scans are complete for full body and additional images of the lungs. Hoping we will hear those results tomorrow at our appointments. Praying the good news continues and counting each blessing as our miracles....thank you GOD!!! PRAYER REQUESTS FOR NEXT WEEK:
Our schedule has changed a few times, but at this point, the following is our upcoming tests and appointments! This is the anxiety inducing time of treatment where ALL studies are repeated to determine the stage of Camden's disease: Monday 12/9 -12:30 Audiology for hearing test (praying for no more hearing loss) -2:30 CT scan of tumor resection and of lungs (praying for no cancer and healed lungs) -3:30 MIBG injection for full body scan Tuesday 12/10 -8:00 MIBG scan which reveals if there is any cancer (excluding minimal residual disease...which with the Grace of GOD, there isn't any) -11:00 Pulmonary for follow up on CT scan & for a pulmonary function test -12:00 Cardiology for ECHO and EKG -1:00 Clinic appointment for labs and meeting with oncologist (praying for all good results and news from all above tests). Wednesday 12/11 HOME DAY!! Thursday 12/12 -8:30 Arrival for 9:30 operating room for lung and bone marrow biopsy At this point, Camden's start date for antibody treatment is on hold and more than likely will NOT be the week of Christmas. This next treatment course impacts the child's lungs (great, right...) and typically causes pulmonary edema. Camden is not ready for insult on injury and we will see how next weeks tests go before truly determining the start date for antibody. We will still be delivering movies and blankets to the inpatient children. As always, thank you for your endless support and prayers! We will gladly take all of the prayers we can get next week to get us through these tests and the results! xo We made it home....our bellies are full and we are all snuggled in on the couch with blankets, pillows, and Skylanders XBox. This is "Our SUPERHERO!!" He did amazing today!! We just "LOVE" him!!!!! |
